Oh, How Would It Be

I just got back to Scott's parents house from shopping - in Logan, UT. Everything is so CLOSE together! I would love to be able to do all my errands in two hours instead of two days. I could walk out of one store, get in my car and be at another in just a few minutes instead of miles. I do love Cache Valley and probably would love to live here if winter didn't last nine months out of the year!

Blankets from Brooke

Our K's were so excited to get some really fun blankets from Brett's girlfriend, Brooke.  Handmade and tied, plus their names sewn on - they were in heaven!

We certainly love this girl and hope Brett keeps her around!
Brooke is a huge BSU fan and was thrilled when Keian put on this hat.

Trainees

The Uncles make sure my kids are adequately exposed to guns and hunting when they are in Idaho!  Love those hunting shows.

Tree 2009

Notice how the tree only has ornaments from about 3 1/2 feet and taller?  Yes, Keian was a crazy toddler in 2009!

The Road to Idaho - Winter 2009

Kirra is such a good sport about being stuck in the corner in the back of the van with all our junk!

TP Man

Anymore explanation needed?

1st Grade Christmas

I love how little kids are so different and for some making a gingerbread house is just something to get done and for others it’s a work of art.  When we made gingerbread houses in Kirra’s class for her Christmas party it was interesting to see some of the fun ideas first graders come up with.  I really do love being in Kirra’s classroom and watching her interact with her teacher and classmates.

Oh, to have your two best friends in your first grade class - what a treat!

Pioneer Christmas

For our ward Christmas party in 2009 we had a "Pioneer Christmas".  The table decorations were empty tin cans with wire and colored raffia.  We used a burlap square under each one and made them look quite rustic.
We had a ham and potato dinner - yum.
Santa visited and helped with a presentation about the symbols of Christmas.

All the kids got their turn sitting with Santa and letting him know what they wanted for Christmas.

Keian performed just like my other kids at this age - he was terrified!

We had pioneer dancing - here's the Castle's doing one of the reels.

Kirra asked for an American Girl doll just like her friends did.

Being the activities committees director for the ward is a ton of work and these activities are fun in theory, but to actually pull them off it takes a LOT of work.  Keian didn't feel well that night and headed home early with the Castle's.  We got a few more shots with Santa before he left.

One of the other wards in our building had their party the night before ours and left us mounds of wrapped boxes for decorations.  Kade loved opening the presents at home even when the boxes were empty.
