Long Lost Friends

OK so it hadn't been that long since we had seen Zach & Caitlin but we sure miss them!

So glad we were able to make a snowy stop in SLC to see these guys.
Baby Easton is growing up too fast!

Wish you guys were still in the Land of Enchantment - but Kade keeps telling me "its OK - we can visit Zach in Utah!"

McEntire Together

To continue the holiday festivities we went to Logan and got to spend a day with Scott's family.  We started out the day with breakfast at Village Inn.  Kade loves sugar packets and here Scott is asking him how many packets he has sneaked under the table.  I don't capture Kade's real smile very often since he is a great 'cheeser' at the camera so I thought these were really cute!

McEntire Girl Cousins - only missing Hailey who is almost three.  There just aren't very many girls!  Kirra was in heaven spending time with them.  The only problem for her was all these girls got some cool hand-held electronic for Christmas - but Kirra wasn't deterred, she just made her own out of cardboard!
Kade was so happy Uncle Kevin spent the day with us - this boy LOVES his uncles.  The cute girl is Aspen - hopefully someday soon she'll be Kevin's wife! :)

Kade was thrilled to have Kevin be his bowling buddy.

I didn't take any more pictures during the rest of the day but we opneded gifts from Grandpa & Grandma, cousins, and siblings.  The kids played well together and we had a yummy french dip dinner.  Love traditions!

Idaho Friends

We are so lucky to have friends in Idaho to visit when we come!  We went out to Rhonda's again this year and Kirra and Kade got to craft with Alx and Brayden.  Kirra loves having an Idaho friend just her age and I love that they can only see each other twice a year and still have a lot of fun together.
Thanks Rhonda and Erin for a fun day.  We sure enjoy you guys!

Too Much Wild?

The kids watching the little DVD player because Uncle Nick didn't want to watch one more Christmas movie!
Nick took us to his friend's house - his friend is a taxidermist and must have some kind of wife to let him FILL his house with DEAD animals.  This place was crazy!
Not my idea of decorating - but it's Nick's mecca.
I was so happy to leave - the place was overwhelming!

Gingerbread Houses

After we went to the movie, Yogi Bear - which the kids loved (adults maybe not so much,) we went back to our temporrary home, Nick & Jess's house, and Jess got out the gingerbread houses she bought for the kids.  Kirra and Kade loved decorating with frosting and candies and thank goodness Keian lost interest before the frosting was made (only after he took a few bites of his gingerbread) and we didn't have to worry about his mess.
Yes, that is a HUGE bear on their kitchen wall - Nick is so proud of that bear!  It is quite impressive and Keian liked to climp up on the step-stool and count the bears claws.

Kade and his finished product.
The Kade candy house.
Kirra was very precise in her decorating. . .
Lines of frosting with three piece of candy each.
Aunt Jessie on the other hand - well let's just say her house was special!  Globs of frosting - and most on her fingers!

Uncle Nick wasn't sure if his wife was 3 or 27 when he looked at her house!
Kirra's finished masterpiece!
We so grateful for fun aunts and uncles.  Love you guys!

Meridian Snow

We were lucky enough to wake up to a blanket of great packing snow while we were staying with Nick & Jess - the kids had a blast!

Bubs didn't last long - it gets cold pretty quickly when you are small.  He was perfectly happy to head on in to watch a show with Papa.

Perfect snow for a BIG snowman!

A worm - in the snow?  Crazy!

The forts are complete - let the war begin!
