Beautiful Girls in White Dresses

After these cute girls got baptized I took them down to Old Town on Labor Day to get some pictures of them in all their whiteness!  My photography teacher met us there since as part of the class I took I get one hour of his time to do whatever I need so I thought this would be perfect.  He did a lot of the posing and now as I look back I realize we did a lot more with all three girls and not enough of them individually - but the girls had fun and so did I!  There are so many things I wish I knew how to do better (posing, Photoshopping, etc.) - but it all takes time and practice so I guess I have to be patient and keep on taking pictures.

Sweet little Mormon girls in front of a very old Catholic church.

Can you see the spiderweb in the picture?

Oh, how fun it is to have good friends!

Street Clothes

When I was organizing the pictures into folders for Daphne and Rachel’s mom’s I titled these pictures “street clothes”.  Kind of makes me laugh – but these really are the clothes the girls are usually in.  My photography teacher left after an hour so I had the girls hop in the van and change into different clothes.  I felt a lot more free without Roger around – though my picture quality diminished - we had a good time doing more pictures.

The girls LOVED the pigeons and when we came back from walking over to another part of Old Town they found that someone had put out piles of bird seed so they picked it up and threw it to the birds.  Well, apparently having food thrown at them is kind of scary and these birds all took OFF - right into my face!

Destin, Florida

Governor SCOTT!
View from our hotel window!
Scott took a picture of this sand castle so we could tell the kids we made it . . . Kirra believed us for just a second, but then thought we probably wouldn't have had sand buckets at the beach without the kids -
she was right!

Playing in the ocean is one of the best things to do. . .ever!

After our fun wave catching we had dinner at Pompano Joe's. Yum!

View from our hotel elevator into the eating area.

Digging for Clams

Via Casa Blanca - just a little white house.
Now THAT is a POT of seafood!

Oh, my mouth is watering just looking at this picture.  Those crab, lobster and shrimp were DELICIOUS!
We were on the fence trying to decide whether or not to eat at this restaurant, but the weather decided for us.  A huge storm blew in and it was either eat here or get DRENCHED walking back to the car!  Good choice - the food was amazing.

On Thursday, after taking Scott to his meetings I had a leisurely morning in the hotel room reading my book and taking a long shower and enjoying my free time.  When it was time to check out of the hotel I headed to lunch and then to the mall again.  It down poured while I was there and some of the outlets aren't totally connected so after the rain died down I had to go back to the car and change my shoes.  Scott met me there in the late afternoon and we shopped for him. . . and of course he made out like a bandit!  Its so easy to find clothes for men - it's just not fair.  We had an awesome dinner at Bone Fish restaurant and then drove to Panama City, FL to stay in hotel near the airport we were flying out of at 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Ah, vacations are awesome!
