The 2nd graders at Kirra's school did a Letter a Day for the last 26 days of school and each day there was a fun theme. One of them was crazy hat day and Kirra thought this choice from the dress up clothes was a perfect pick!

How I Became a Pirate - The Musical

On the website where you reserve your tickets we were encouraged to dress up and get into the pirate spirit. An excuse to dress up - I'm there! It wasn't hard for us since we were pirates in October 2009 - though my size hasn't changed much, the kids have grown a lot! Kirra won't be wearing her pirate outfit ever again (way above mid-thigh is quite short for a skirt), Kade and Keian's pants were to their knees.
We missed the performance last weekend due to my cold (this place you just reserve your tickets and pay when you get there) so when we found out the Gariety's had tickets to the Saturday matinee we thought we'd try again. So glad we did. It was a swashbuckling' good time!
